EASNIE’s 30th anniversary provides an opportunity to reflect on progress and re-examine the forces shaping the future of education. While its Key Principles around equity, participation and inclusion remain central, EASNIE has now developed Ten Pillars Shaping the Future of Inclusive Education, which set out the system-level actions needed to realise these principles.
Transformation is not optional. It is crucial to move from aspiration to implementation through deliberate, co-ordinated action. Drawing on work by the European Union Institutions, UNESCO and the OECD, evidence from academic research, and EASNIE’s own activities, the Ten Pillars provide a future-focused framework to guide this transformation and support education systems to uphold every learner’s right to high-quality, inclusive education.
Below, you can download a flyer that sets out the Ten Pillars in brief, together with an accompanying Background Paper that presents them in greater detail.
