Message from the Director

As we mark our 30th anniversary, we take a moment to reflect on the journey that has brought us here – three decades of collaboration, learning and shared commitment to advancing inclusive education across Europe. This milestone is not only a celebration of our history but also a tribute to the partners, professionals, families and communities in all our member countries who have walked alongside us.

Over the past thirty years, EASNIE has grown, adapted and innovated in response to the changing needs of learners and education systems. Together, we have worked to build a stronger foundation for equity, participation and quality in education, and we remain deeply grateful for the trust and engagement of everyone who has contributed to this mission.

As we look ahead, we would like to invite you to join us as we recognise this milestone and continue our shared journey while looking towards the future – examining how we can shape the next generation of inclusive education policies and practices across Europe. Our focus remains clear: to foster environments where every learner is valued, supported and empowered.

Thank you for being part of our journey. We look forward to the next chapter and to the continued partnerships that will help us create lasting, meaningful change for generations to come.

Jo?o Costa
Director, European Agency for Special Needs and Inclusive Education

EASNIE 30: Anniversary programme

The year 2026 marks a significant milestone for EASNIE, as it celebrates 30 years of collaborative work to promote inclusive education across Europe.
