EASNIE 30: Inclusive Education Shaping the Future – high-level event in Brussels

On 19 March, EASNIE will mark 30 years of collaboration with a high-level anniversary event in Brussels, bringing together senior policy-makers and stakeholders to reflect on progress and shape the next phase of inclusive education in Europe.

A highlight of the event will be the launch of EASNIE’s Ten Pillars Shaping the Future of Inclusive Education – a new reference framework that sets out the system-level actions needed to realise the principles of inclusive education in a rapidly changing context. Presented by EASNIE Director Jo?o Costa, the Ten Pillars outline key priorities to guide policy development and strengthen inclusive practices across Europe in the years ahead.

The event will welcome representatives from EASNIE member countries, representatives of EU institutions and relevant organisations, policy-makers, practitioners and learner representatives. High-level speakers include Roxana M?nzatu, Executive Vice-President of the European Commission, Pia Ahrenkilde Hansen, Director-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture at the European Commission, Li Andersson, Chair of the European Parliament Committee on Employment and Social Affairs, and Izabela Zi?tka, Undersecretary of State at Poland’s Ministry of National Education.

Two thematic panel discussions will focus on how Europe can move from commitment to implementation, and on how to build a shared societal consensus that supports inclusive education for every learner.

Participants will also be able to explore a poster exhibition highlighting initiatives and national experiences from EASNIE member countries, alongside dedicated networking opportunities to foster new partnerships and ideas.
